Astronaut Tim Peake forced to cancel show due to leak at Cambridge venue
Astronaut Tim Peake was forced to cancel his show at the Cambridge Corn Exchange after heavy rain caused a leak on Tuesday night (1 October).
The Corn Exchange said in a statement: “Due to adverse weather conditions, a significant leak has developed at Cambridge Corn Exchange, and for the safety of our customers, performers and staff, we must take immediate action to repair the damage. We are incredibly sorry for the disappointment this may cause. However, ensuring our customers are safety is our top priority.”
The theatre is working with contractors to ensure the repairs are completed “quickly and safely”. The event is now on Sunday, 13 October at 7pm. Tickets remain valid.
